Schools
The OCFM Martial Arts Schools offer various
programmes to suit Martial Artists of all ages
and experience. From the very beginner through
to the seasoned fighter, all are welcome and all
will find the OCFM School a great place to
train.
Learning is the key to Martial Arts.
Developing your skills is what really matters.
Fitness (although very important) comes second
to skills.
With the abundance of MMA / Grappling etc
that is going on now, too many people are
getting in the ring and fighting because they
are simply fit and strong and have learnt a few
skills. This is foolish beyond belief and
potentially dangerous.
Learn your skills properly. Take your time to
learn and learn well. Then, when you really are
ready to fight, take 12-18 weeks to get fit and
begin your fighting career.
If you are training for fun (as do 99.99% of
us) then your fitness will improve rapidly
whilst you are learning your skills.
All our School Owners have the following
standard Checks:
- Enhanced CRB
- First Aid
- Health and Safety
- Coaching Course
- OCFM Qualified
- Minimum Grade B Pass at OCFM Business
Training
- Minimum Grade B Pass at OCFM MA Training
- Must continue to train with higher level
OCFM Coaches
These are our MINIMUM
requirements.
For almost every other Club /
Group in the UK this would be more than their
Maximum requirements!

Programs
Pre - Juniors
This is an exciting educational program
designed to enhance the life skills that your
child requires, whilst at the same time helping
your child to become fitter, more disciplined
and to avoid peer pressure through our unique
Martial Arts Training Program.
Martial Arts training simply serves as a vehicle
to instil values and skills that children can
put to use outside of the Martial Arts School.
Skills like: Self-Confidence, Self-Control, and
Positive Thinking; Listening Skills, Respect and
Good Manners. The Ability to Focus Attention;
Perseverance and Courage. The core of martial
arts stresses the vital importance of a healthy
mind and body necessary to lead a productive
life.
Juniors
This program benefits from all of the above
with a stronger emphasis on the physical
training.
In fact it is almost exactly the same as the
adult Program, with a few minor omissions to
ensure correct levels of safety and due
dilligence for this particular age group.
This type of training program has proven to help
Juniors in all areas of their life whilst at the
same time promoting great Martial Arts Skills.
Again it is important to stress the fact that
all our Coaches are fully qualified to teach
children of all ages (even you Mums and Dads!)
Seniors
This training is geared towards those who
want to achieve, keep and prolong a good solid
healthy lifestyle. You will learn all the skills
and techniques of a Fighter but within the
safety guidelines that you would expect.
It has been proven that this type of training
can help you burn up to 900 Calories in one
HOUR!
Whilst we acknowledge that most people do not
want to be a fighter, we are firm believers in
the fact that if you train like a fighter, you
will possess most of those skills that a fighter
requires to succeed at the highest levels,
without the risks!
So, everyone trains within this framework. We
all train together, obviously some at different
intensities to others, but within that true team
spirit that we should all enjoy.
Your health and safety is paramount. To that
end, all our Coaches are fully qualified and
rigorously checked on an ongoing basis, to
ensure the highest possible standards.
No-one
engages in full contact sparring unless they
meet the following criteria:
They want to do it!
They have the necessary skills and abilities
They have the correct safety equipment
They are under the strictest of supervision
They are on a Program that allows full
contact sparring
